1. WHO ARE THE PARTIES?

In this Cookie Statement, the following terms have the following meanings:
´HEAR HEAR!´: an initiative of The Factory bvba, with registered office at Diestersteenweg 152, 3970 Leopoldsburg, registered under the enterprise number 0434.153.588.
´User´, ´you´ or ´you´: any natural person (B2C) who or legal entity (B2B) which uses the website and the services offered thereon of www.hearhear.be and/or tickets.hearhear.be and may be in or will enter into a contractual relationship of whatever nature.

2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small data or text files that are installed by websites on your local computer. Such cookies can have various purposes: for example, there are technical cookies (e.g. for language settings), session cookies (temporary cookies) and tracking cookies (cookies that will follow and remember your behaviour on the website, so as to be able to offer you a more optimal user experience).

1. ESSENTIAL COOKIES

Essential cookies are cookies that are necessary to ensure the proper functioning of a website. They enable basic functions such as page navigation, security and load time.

2. FUNCTIONAL COOKIES

Functional cookies are cookies that remember information on your choices and preferences on a website. They remember things like your language choice, login data or your geographical location.

3. ANALYTICAL COOKIES

Analytical cookies collect information on the behaviour of website visitors and the performance of the website. The results are used to improve the website and upgrade the user experience.

The Belgian Telecommunications Act contains a number of provisions on cookies and their use on websites. The Belgian implementation is derived from the European e-Privacy directive, which implies that the cookie use and cookie laws are regulated differently in each European country. Point “7. 3. WHAT ARE THESE COOKIES GOOD FOR?

HEAR HEAR! wishes to inform you as well as possible about this new legislation, and about the cookies it uses. Cookies help HEAR HEAR! to optimise your visit to the website, to remember technical choices (for example a language choice, a newsletter, etc.), and to show you more relevant services and special offers.

If you’d like to consult the HEAR HEAR! website, it is recommended that you activate the cookies. However, if you prefer not to do so, you are free to switch them off (see also the point "How can I manage my cookies?").

We use cookies to enhance your visit to our website. The cookies that we use are secure. The information that we collect with the aid of cookies helps us to identify possible errors or to let you see specific services that we think could be important for you. Life: This cookie is a session cookie and is removed when the session is terminated.
Purpose: saving session ID. This cookie allows communication between the web server and browser and temporarily stores session-related information.

SERVERID - www.hearhear.be

Type: essential cookie
Life: This cookie is a session cookie and is removed when the session is terminated.
Purpose: Load Balancer - This cookie identifies the server that supplied the last page to the browser. It provides a task allocation that optimises website performance.

Type: analytical cookie
Life: 2 years
Purpose: Google Analytics - This cookie is used to distinguish unique users by assigning them a customer ID, which is a randomly generated number. It is used to calculate visitor, session and campaign data for the website statistics. Privacy policy van Google.

Purpose: Google Analytics - This cookie is used to throttle request rate. This limits data collection on websites with a lot of traffic. Privacy policy van Google.

5. HOW CAN I MANAGE MY COOKIES?

  • Click on ´OK´.

FOR BROWSER - MOZILLA FIREFOX

  • Click on ´Firefox´ in the upper left corner of your browser and then click on ´Options´.
  • On the ´Privacy´ tab, make sure that the ´Let websites know that I do not want to be followed´ is not ticked.
  • Click on ´OK´.

FOR BROWSER - GOOGLE CHROME

  • Click on ´Tools´ at the top of your browser window and choose ´Options´.
  • Click on the ´Under the Hood´ tab, look for the ´Privacy´ part and select the button ´Content settings´.
  • Now select ´Allow local data to be set´.

FOR BROWSER - SAFARI

  • Click on the pictogram ´Cog´ at the top of your browser window and select the ´Preference´ option.
  • Click on ´Security´, then tick the option that says: ´Block cookies of third parties and advertising cookies´.
  • Click ´Save´.

6. I DON´T COME FROM BELGIUM. IS A DIFFERENT FORM OF CONSENT REQUIRED FOR MY COUNTRY?

HEAR HEAR! is a branch of an internationally-known company or group, and it is possible that not only Belgian nationals visit the website. The European Member States often implement the cookie legislation very differently, so that for the User it is difficult to see how his or her consent has to be given. Below is an overview of the European Member States, the implementation status of the cookie legislation and the (possible) manner of implementation.

HEAR HEAR! strives to achieve the right manner of implementation per Member State, in so far as this is technically and materially possible.
